DIAM     Diallyl maleate    CAS No. 99-21-3

DIAM is a reactive functional monomer that can be readily incorporated into a variety of polymers. The polymers formed have pendant allyl groups, which makes DIAM useful for applications where second stage curing operations are desirable.

Applications for DIAM include alkyd and polyester resins, adhesives and ion exchange resins. When used at low levels, DIAM is an effective agent for the promotion of branching in emulsion polymers.
